Good Practice Guidance for the Management and Control of Asbestos

This publication aims to increase awareness of the health risks associated with asbestos in the workplace and provides recommendations and checklists on avoiding and managing the risks of exposure.

Occupational exposure to asbestos is estimated to lead to more than 230,000 deaths globally every year. This publication provides guidance on the duties of employers and contractors in minimizing risks from asbestos; training requirements; and the identification, containment, safe removal, and management of asbestos waste.
